Wood Blossom School wishes its students, teachers and parents a very Happy Lohri.
The teachers and students of our primary grades celebrated Lohri on January 11th, 2020 , Saturday. Our young toddlers were told about the origin of the festival and its celebration to mark the onset of the new year and the harvest season. Students and teachers discussed the traditions and customs associated with the celebrations.
Students and teachers from our middle and senior grades performed gidda and sang songs. In the spirit of keeping the celebrations eco-friendly a small bon-fire was lit but the focal point of celebrations was on dance, songs and speeches by students and teachers.
